Windows shows 16Gb available/5.9Gb usable. (The 2Gb is the default allocated for the 2400g.) Windows shows 16Gb available/13.9 usable. I've tried this with 3 different sets of RAM. ![]() The BIOS detects ram in each slot, however, whatever I put into slots B1 and B2, show up as "Hardware reserved" in windows if RAM is also in an A slot. Next up, I cannot run my RAM in dual channel correctly. I'm 99% sure this is CPU incompatibility. Even if I make no changes but select the "Save and exit" option in the BIOS, this still happens. If I enter the BIOS and save any changes, the computer will refuse to POST. There are a couple questions I have to ask to try and narrow down issues with my motherboard vs issues with compatibility. To my surprise, I am able to use the system. B550 is advertised to work on 3rd gen ryzen not including the APU's however. ![]() I got the B550 without looking at compatible CPU's like an idiot. I sold my b350m board along with the RAM I had with it on r/hardwareswap. I was looking to upgrade my system to 4th gen ryzen once it came out.
